Lisa Marder is a member of the National Association of Women Artists and the Massachusetts Chapter. She received her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Harvard University in 1985 and was a teaching assistant and studio instructor at the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard while practicing landscape design. She lives on the South Shore of Boston and has taught drawing, painting, and photography at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA and at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA.  She was the Painting Expert for the website for several years and a writer for Her award-winning work is very much inspired by the landscapes of New England and can be found in both private and corporate collections.

Since earning a Master's Degree in landscape architecture in 1985, Lisa Marder has combined the practice of landscape design with painting and teaching. Over the years she has taught a variety of courses at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA, where she currently teaches acrylic painting. She also teaches art and photography at Notre Dame Academy. Her work is very much influenced by the beauty of the New England landscape and can be found in many private and corporate collections.
